Since the 1990s, the World Bank has addressed the gender agenda in the production of knowledge as well as in its investments. This happens in a context influenced by feminist activism and the tendency to use gender expertise in the field of international relations as a tool for international organizations in several areas, including economics. Based on this perspective, this paper analyzes whether or not the gender agenda impacts the World Bank's investment policies. This paper has as its starting point an analysis of World Bank investments in projects related to gender inequality issue in Brazil, drawing a relation of these projects with indicators from the Women, Business and Law reports, in the period from 2010 to 2021.
